Greetings From the Shenandoah Valley Virginia!!

Well, the Good Husband and I finally got away. No one is in the hospital or has anything broken. I do have lousy awful cold, but I said I don't care, that's what drugs are for and "we are going"!!!

So we are back at that lovely B&B we visited with a friend in July. Now that the leaves are down, you can see the Shenandoah below the cottage. Today it has just rained and rained, so we stayed in. Really hard to do this....what with Virginia's breakfast to die for, a warm cozy fire, Christmas music playing all day on a local radio station. A good way to nurse a cold.

This was the corn field in July, this is it today. It has a lovely view.

omorrow we shall take a good day trip, over to West Virginia and then down to Staunton following some Civil War trails and battlefields.

I love the cottage reflection in the gazing ball. What time of day did you take the photo? I'd like to try taking one myself!
