The Moocher

Haven't seen this little guy in a while. However, he seems to know when the bird seed is out. Look at those little stuffed cheeks...this was trip 3 for him this morning. He and friends live under the rocks by our fire pit and where the GirlChild and I camped out this summer. I suspect there should be about 10, 000 pounds of bird seed under those rocks by now!!!!
On another note, looking at this little fellow reminds me of the time when I eight and had the mumps...I looked just as lovely!!!!! I came home from school sick, and missed my first Brownie Scout sleepover. I was so upset over that!!!! The kids today miss out on all of those great rights of childhood diseases!!! I had the mumps on both sides, proudly passed them on to my brother, who only got them on one side.

Thanks so much for the dear chipmunk photo! I miss the little guys down here in the Deep South. As I recall, they hibernate...when will yours disappear into the rocks for the winter?
