Our snow the last few days have been the lake effect type. Thankfully we are not like towns near Erie or parts of NY State where they feet of the stuff. Shortly after I took this shot, the rest of the clouds came over and I couldn't see across the street!!!
I thought this shot was pretty cool. That is snow you see coming from the clouds... it just doesn't get to the ground. In meteorology this is called virga.
These pictures just fascinate me to no end.
