Holy cow!!! Only 2 more days to endure. This "battleground" state for elections is for the birds. One thing is for certain none of the candidates are "green", judging by the amount of mail we have been getting (Saturday's haul...20 pieces of candidate mail!!!!)...."Vote for me, I am wonderful", "Don't vote for him, he's a scumbag". Our mail carrier said Monday is going to be really bad with all of the campaign junk mail that is waiting to be delivered. And then there is the phone...heaven's to betsy all it does is ring with those robomessages. Even our local congressional race has garnered national attention...I'm from Western PA... (which means I am bitter, clinging, a racist that became a redneck) I think I would vote for the first real human I would be able to talk to!!! And we have actually been getting calls for national opinion polls.... I don't tell the truth...am I bad? At this point I think I am voting for Mickey Mouse... no wait I can't...isn't he a registered voter in Ohio???????
We all seem to start a phone conversation after hearing that tentative "hello" with "Please don't hang up, I'm not asking for any vote....."
The consensus is everyone is thoroughly disgusted and can't wait until this election is over.

Recently we had mayors and town-city counselors election. It was awful. But I can't stand the disqualification of other candidates. At the end you hate all of them for this.

Not that I ever would, but watching what candidates go through I would never put myself or family through such an ordeal. At church last night we all commented on what good could be accomplished with the excessive money that was spent. If someone ran against Santa Claus, they would manage to make him look pretty bad!!!
