"The Project"

This is my BIG PROJECT. These are all Christmas cards that I have collected from members of my congregation, I have well over a hundred from this year, plus all the ones I scanned last year. I am in the process of scanning them into my computer. I have them all categorized... Nativity, Mary, Family, Shepard's, Kings, etc. After I finish that, I then start to pick out music. I like to fit the music to the cards...cards to the music... to tell a story. I then will bring everything into PhotoStory. This software lets me make a video using just pictures and I add the music. I use a number of Christmas hymns and songs to make a DVD of about 20 minutes.

I love doing this type of work. Last year I did this and gave it out as our Christmas Card.

In December my church does a Nativity Festival. We set up our sanctuary with tables and members bring in their family nativities. We generally get about 60. The event is in conjunction with a Christmas Festival in town. The DVD I create is played on our big screen so that we have music and video playing. I will tell more about the Nativity Festival later, as we get closer to it. (Dec. 7th)

( this may sound rather boring I know....but I have been doing "fussbudget" cleaning this week...like taking the china cabinet apart and cleaning the stuff in there and doing the tops of things I never see...like the kitchen cabinets. I'd rather not show a picture of a dust bunny!!!!!)
