WAR!

I am at all out war with two beasties....

Slugs....for which I show no mercy. They are the most disgusting creatures on the face of the earth ( well - next to snakes and rats). I know that God had a purpose for all things...but these slimy disgusting things I am at a loss on knowing what it is... They are eating me out my garden. So...it is out with the slug killer... and for instant zapping I greet them with a salt shaker.

(Actually if I could find a way to market them I could be a very rich woman, there is enough of them in the yard and garden right now)

So much for my genteel side...........

Then the next little beastie is the chipmunk. They have discovered our hanging finch feeder. I found one with his fat little butt sitting on the bottom rim and keeping the finches away. Boy will he be surprised with his next chow down there!! I have filled it with red pepper seeds. The birds aren't bothered by them...and it does give them a good source of Vitamin C. However.....(she said with an evil grin) Mr. Chipmunk will not be so happy. (Secretly I think he is getting even with me for using the fire pit....as they have been in living there). For chipmunk lovers, please note that does not cause harm to them, just forces them to look someplace else for food. As a rule I use as many natural deterrents as I can.... with the exception of slugs.

There will probably be a "Wanted" poster on me in slug and chipmunk land.
