Now this is cool.....

We have been having a good deal of rain this year...May 70% of the days it rained, June-- 20 out of 30 days. So far in July 7 out of 8. So the yard mushroom population is having a field day.

A lady from the church called me this morning.. all excited about this giant mushroom or "fungi" growing in her yard. She wanted me to take a picture. So she brought the thing over to me. So this is the giant mushroom, it is the size of luncheon plate-- about 9" (23cm) . The colors are cream and "creamsicle orange" . It reminds me very much of coral... might have something to do with amount of rain we've been having!!!!

Not bragging or anything, but my nature photography is popular here and well appreciated. We do use a good bit of my work (and a lot of what I shoot is for the powerpoint) is turned into slides for the Sunday Service powerpoint slides. ( We put the entire order of the service and the hymns into powerpoint and using a big projector, project everything on a huge screen that is hanging from the ceiling in the front of the church)
