The Good Husband plays in a big band, but he also conducts a community concert band. Thursday night was their first concert for the summer in Johnstown.
I use to play the flute, but sadly lost that ability after I injured my hand.
I had gotten up to walk around the park, and was at this monument when they were playing "When Johnny Comes Marching Home". This is a tribute to our 54th PA Volunteers. They ended up at Appomattox. The first monument was lost during the 1889 Flood.
This signs tells a little about what happened in this city in 1889.
