This is what nature gives you...

when you lay flat on the ground, just as the sun is rounding the the side of the house, AND you happen to have your camera with you. (maybe I have too much free time???? nah.....) My neighbors have ceased to be concerned about me if they see me laying in the yard...

This is a rain drop sparkling in the sun....

Beautiful pics, you should drop by www.History-forums.com/forum, you'll find plenty of likeminded people. I've also got a history minded blog, www.milhistbuff.blogspot.com

What about colonial times interest you?

Thanks.... it was one of those moments. I could see the glint myself and really worked the camera angle to capture it. THe "glint" came out better than I expected!

For all of pictures I am using a Kodak Z812.

Thanks Matt. I do post on history-forums...you know me as 2ndgenamer.

With regards to colonial era history... I like to study and read up on the everyday person. My sisterinlaw is an actor/interpeter at Colonial Williamsburg and I love how they bring to life the regular person. Have you ever read "Bootmaker to the Nation"? Great novel!!!
