Today May 19th...a Monday...once again SNOW FLURRIES were predicted for the morning. I threaten to stay up last night packing all of my treasures. If I saw just one flake...I was moving. Well I am still here...I don't think "it" dared...
The kick off to summer is coming up officially starting Friday...Memorial Day Weekend. The solemn observance of honoring our war dead and loved ones gets lost with Grand Sales (what does buying a mattress at the lowest price ever have to do with Memorial Day) and Let's Go to the Beach.
I am a Yankee Doodle Flag Waver American...so the porch got "bedecked" for the summer (even if I had on a coat and it was only 45 degrees out). The twining vine is Wisteria. The vine is 15 years old, and has yet to bless us with a bloom. So good ol' Yankee Doodle (and Michael's Craft Store) gave me a miracle....the Wisteria is blooming!!!!! (and it will be blooming nicely all summer too!)
