My lovely 'burg had it's annual festival Saturday...Potato Fest. Yes, we celebrate potatoes!!! My county is one of the largest potato producers in the state. Our elevation and weather makes for a potato that makes an especially fine potato chip.
The two main roads in town are blocked off all day. Being on two major highways it does make it interesting for travelers, since they have to worm their way through the town via sidestreets. They may just as well park the car and come join in the fun!!!
The festival had over 200 craft vendors, 4 tents with musicians playing all day, and Food Glorious Food!!! Mostly all made from potatoes!!! All types of potato soup, french fries, and my absolute favorite...potato pizza!!!!
Other than it being overcast, we had a nice weather day...it didn't rain, snow, spit ice balls, or in general freeze us out (yes it all has happened!)
Even my church had a tent space.
