The pond heater keeps our little pond from totally freezing up, which means the gold fish usually make it through the winter. Since our birds adopted the porch fountains this year, this winter they have moved to the available water in the pond. This is the first year we have had so many enjoy the pond in winter. High winds on Wednesday added leaves to the water, but the birds like it as they can get in there and beside take a drink, get themselves a good very cold bath. So they are out there today splishing and splashing.
