The view from my porch

Sometimes I liken the end of "fall" to the Wizard of Oz in reverse.... We go from "Living Technicolor" to black and white. Suddenly you see all of the trees in the woods and have a little more light. When the trees empty off we always comment at someplace in our travels..."Gee, I never saw that (house, barn, etc) back there before.". We also have found all the nests that our little bird friends made during the spring and summer. I think every tree and bush had one.



So this is now the view from the porch, as oppose to late September. Simply put, our trees are naked!!! And the world has taken on a shade of grey.
