Drove by the neighbors house today.... what a lovely outdoor carpet!!! Their leaf drop is just getting started so he has a lot to look forward to.
Our leaves usually falls into "the woods". 9 times out of 10 before we get to them, we have one of those rain/wind events that will deposit them somewhere else. The area where we live was heavily wooded, and everyone cut all the trees down when they built. We left our back alone so we have "the woods". For the tree lovers out there, the trees sadly had to come down. Construction would have damaged the root systems and they would have died out. Plus being forest trees the canopy was up at the top. We are the only ones to plant regular trees after construction. We planted two red maples ( suitable for landscaping) in the front. After 16 years they have finally provided the shade we wanted at the front of the house. Just have to be patient in this world.
