I always wish we could somehow save the summer warmth that enters our home. Inside it will get up to 80 degrees ( we do not have air conditioning). The last few days have been in the 40's here, and you can feel the warm leaving. Must have socks and long sleeves on now. I set the thermostats at 68, the furnace has yet to kick on, but the house is now down to 70. I've put the extra blankets on. We always try and hold out until November before we kick the furnace on...extra blanket, a nice cozy fire, warm clothes.
I always ponder on "WHY...in the spring when it reaches 68-70 degrees we all run around like idiots enjoying the warmth and opening windows and now we find that same temperature to be "chilly"?"
I just noticed the photograph...it is old. Just something I stuck there and it has stayed. The BoyChild is will be 17 in another month.
