Tonight I shall get gussied up!

First thing...Dad is 79 today, so we are going out to dinner. Then we are going to a reception for "Artists" (that is offically ME) at our art show. This is a juried show, and I was accepted with two prints... this one and this one. So I might sell them, could win a prize, but mostly just enjoy the fact that they are in an Art Show that has artists from all over the state. And to think you knew me when................

So I shall get gussied up, which means I have to find my good shoes and not the comfy ones I live in.

I'm sorry I missed this post over the weekend. How did it go?

I LOVE both of those photos, especially the droplet. :-)

It was a lovely evening. I felt like I someplace other than my town. We had a really nasty front go through and pour rain. After it was over, everything was so green and clean. The light from the big old Victorian lamps around the courthouse glistened on all the water puddles and wet grass. The sound of some good jazz was wafting from the big doors. I just stood and soaked in it. I was up against some well known professional photographers... who won. But the nice thing is alot of folks came up to me and commented nicely on my two entries, which was good enough for me. Now I'm planning for next year!

kel, those waterdroplet pictures fascinate the heck out of me. I love to crop them and enlarge them and can just study them for a while. The drops have little prisms, cast little shadows, can balance another drop, or balance themselves on a little tip, be perfectly round, or have so little weight they can cling to a verical leaf and not roll down. All that activitiy on a little leaf!
