First good spring storms today.... the type that gives the earth a good scrubbing, and then leaves everything green and sparkling. Of course my Ladys Mantle provided me with a great photo op, those pretty new green leaves with tiny drops glistening in the sun. Well look at this photo, I had no idea that water drops can stack one on the other. The leaf is about 2 inches tops and the drops are the size nail and pin heads.
And then there is this one.... the flat leaf I can understand....but do you notice that the leaf that is more vertical has the drop just sitting there...not rolling at all. Intriguing....(Double click on the photos to really see them well)
Just as an aside... I went to Altoona today. First time off the mountain in quite a while. We dropped down off the summit and made the turn to the valley...and it was like opening the door into Munchkin Land....it was green and the trees had leaves!!! I looked back, and you can see it. Spring creeping up the mountain, the base was green and the top still bare.
