I visited the Historical Society today to pick up two of my prints that have been on display for a show. It is one of those homes where I wish I had money to burn. It would be grand to own a home like that AND be able to maintain it and not have to worry. This is one of the stained glass windows in the house.

1889 window
Our local historical society is housed in an 1889 Victorian. 1889 is notable in this region as " the year of the flood". In 1889 the city of Johnstown PA, which is near me, was hit by a massive flood as a result of a damn breaking after heavy rains. The story is tragic and fascinating.
