This is our family room mantel all decked out for Christmas. The Christmas wall hanging is a crewel piece I did in 1980/1981. Towards the end of my Navy career, I spent a lot of my night watches (13 hour watch) just being there as my successor was in training and doing all of the work...I just supervised. So I worked on this to pass the time. I figured I put about 750 hours into this piece... and I never did another crewel piece again!!! I find it hard to believe that was nearly 30 years ago.... my where did the time go????
