Festival of the Nativities

This is my church's third year celebrating our "Festival of Nativities". Members of the congregation bring their family Nativity's in and we set them up in the sanctuary. The fun and amazing part is we transform the sanctuary in less than 90 minutes from church service to this amazing display. We generally average about 60 Nativities...of all shapes and sizes. We never have a duplicate.

We had a nice steady stream of visitors. That in itself was amazing. We were on a stop on the home tour. However we had a truly horrendous weather day. Very cold---11 degrees---high winds and snow squalls. One truly could not see across the street at times. So the home tour was cancelled, which means our visitors were folks that came on their own.
We have our Congregational Christmas dinner in the evening. The hams are cooking all afternoon, and the smell wafting through the church is almost heaven. After dinner, everyone lends a hand and we get this all put away.
It is it such a Awe Inspiring Day.
