My favorite place is Colonial Williamsburg. Coming in on Francis Street...it just makes for a grand entrance. In the summer I love to come in, roll the windows down on a humid night and hear the crickets and katydids.
The only down side about coming to Willliamsburg is one has to get on I-95 in Fredericksburg. I absolutely hate the highway...between Richmond and Portland, Maine.
That said the nicest part about visiting this time of year is the Christmas decorations. The folks here make them out of natural items or things that are indicative to Colonial Williamsburg.
The birds were especially enjoying this one.....
