This was my morning view when I first opened my eyes..... from my deflating air mattress ( oh my poor back!!!). I have not been "camping" in so long I can't remember when.
The Girl Child wanted to go camping ( her brother is a Boy Scout), so she brought his tent up with her. So the two of us have set up camp in "The Woods" in the back yard. Complete with a campfire.
It was just too spooky for the first time camper for ghost stories,
but she has assured me she will be ready for those the next time we camp out ( Tonight pleasssseeeeee?) . Well not tonight, be we will add a few nights this week.
We also listend for "wild lambs". While on a visit here one summer, her brother, then 5, decided to race around the house while we "timed" him. Late summer the cikada's are out, and believe it or not they do sound like lambs bleating. So he sprinted off, and came back from the same direction, eyes as big saucers. "What's wrong?" "I was scared, your woods are full of wild lambs!!!!!" Yep....well kept secret here...Wild Western Pennsylvania Lambs.
After a semi good breakfast, it was decided that charred marshmellows
where much better. I must be getting old..... marshmellows at 10AM aren't as good as they use to be.....
Us two girls have decided to leave a really good "girly note" in the tent for her Big Brother, so we can annoy him when he opens the tent up at the next Scouting event.
