This is not quite as sharp as I would like, but it still conveys the feeling. It is a cold moonlit night. It is dark dark out, yet the moonlight with the freshly fallen snow gives the night this really surreal brightness. Our upstairs is bathed in it...the light is coming in the windows and skylight....really nice. Now we wait for the eclipse to begin...it will be neat if we get that red moon with this white snow....
NOTE ADDED 2/21 We had a great view of the eclipse last night. Occassional clouds but for the most part clear as a bell. The moon did turn red ...it was awesome. Sadly no good pictures. I just don't have the equipment. Plus it was around 2 degrees out, and the wind chill was even worse. I can't work with gloves and after 10 minutes of that my fingers were killing me. The good part is we could watch it from the back porch or the upstairs bedroom. But oh the snow sure did sparkle last night and it crunches when you walk on it.

I actually stayed up for the eclipse (it was at like 4 a.m. here), but what do you know, it was cloudy :-(
I hope you got a better look than I did.
