I bought one of these right after Christmas. Turned out the 50% off deal was just what I got...the bloom had died in the box. So I got another. Had the clerk all huffy as I was opening every box to see if the bloom had died off. She de-huffed once I explained it to her...she never knew that...
So I got this amarylis--it's deep red. It's been sitting on the window sill for over 3 weeks and hasn't done a thing. Turned both the husband and I were both watering it. So I dried it out, and now, finally it is growing. It even has a side car. So instead of my Valentine's Day amarylis I shall have an Easter one. We save them and nurse them through the seasons. Everynow and then one will rebloom.
