The view from the loft window

We said goodbye to the cottage inn in New Market and our Alabama Friend. This time we had the loft bedroom. It is lovely...all in lavender shades. From this room you can really enjoy the view of the property.

This looks to the house on the property. The home was built in the 1850's, and the cottage that we stayed in was a cobbler shop.

This view looks on to the Shenandoah.

I love my own home, but it would be so cool to be able to own (and financially afford) a historic home ( the term "historic home" is now used to denote an old house) in a really interesting historic area.

The whole experience was ever so lovely. We so enjoyed Civil War adventuring with our friend from Mobile. We found a lot of interesting places.
