And I was out in it....

One of the crummiest days all winter...the kind that just seem to happen here without a whole of warning. Heavy squalls and high wind.

These trees are at our church parking lot. They are all that is left of the old parsonage that was built in the 1880's. The house and the property were bought in 1959 and the church was built. The old house was taken down in 1973 as a result of long neglect and too much money to fix it. So "it" became a parking lot. But the old trees still stand.....
Across the street from the parking lot is the now Middle School. It's days are numbered as they are going to add an addition to the High School and close this 1929 building.( I pray they don't raze it...I hope they turn it into some nice apartments) It was the high school for a very long time, in fact I was the last class to graduate from it as a High School. The fact that you can't see across the street is telling you how hard the snow was coming down.

I can't see the houses up the hill....but.... I see the garden and dream of fresh veggies......heck I'll be thrilled just to be able to turn up the soil and stick in some seeds!!!!!

Off the back porch.... the mountain is out there. I always say when I can' t see it it's bad out. The fact that you can bearly make out the tree line means it nasty out.....

So we are staying in and just enjoying...

And watch a movie and think of lovely warm places....
