Since my knee surgery for one knee in November and the other in March, some things are not as pleasant as they use to be. So rather than planting my flowers in the ground this year, I've taken to container planting. A yard we planned 16 years ago, is now starting to taken on a new life, as the Head Gardener isn't what she use to be!!!
The rhododendrons are in full bloom. The woods are full of the wild ones and they are stunning. Not far from here one home has one so big it is over the roof and completely envelops the side of the house. (hum...sounds like a photo road trip....)And for the happy me....my Mountain Laurel is going to bloom. Although the stupid deer ate it down to the nub, it has come back and there are tiny little blossoms on it.
