My one single crocus --- or croci--- is showing a bloom. All if it's friends have been eaten by chippies, squirrels, deers and bunnies. The deer stripped my Mountain Laurel down to the nub. It is our state flower and hard to find, and you can't dig them up in the woods and transplant them. The one I had I bought in Virigina and my husband nursed it all winter, until two weeks ago. Guess the deer thought it was a salad bar.
