Hardly a cloud in the sky......

Build ups....

We have had a dry spring... to the point it advised not to burn anything outside. We have had a number of brush fires in the area.

So it is good to see these type of clouds... they mean rain and summer!!! Someone on the other side of the mountain was getting it today. We have not had any good thunderstorms yet this year... the kind that rains so hard that it washes the streets down or as we call it a good gully washer that gets rid of the pollen and makes the windows rattle!!!!

Holiday Clouds

While walking through Market Square the Good Husband said "Hey hon, are those clouds green and red to you?". Sure enought the clouds were green and red!!! First time I ever saw Christmas clouds!!!!!

Starlight Starbright

We had a front come through last night. It was a mixture of white clouds and dark dark ones. The winds were strong and the temp dropped about 20 degrees in as many minutes it seems.

But there in the mist of the rapidly changing sky one could see the first star of the night...the bright one- Venus - which was low in the southwestern sky. (click on the photo, Venus is in the center by the wispy white cloud)

Storm Door Reflection

We put the storm door on the other day. It sure does cut down on the cold air in the front hall. I also washed the glass down so it would sparkle. I noticed the reflection of the sun and the lovely alto-cu clouds. Actually the sun bouncing off the door was quite blinding!!!!

But is was a lovely fall sky.

Cloud Bottoms

Traveled over the mountain yesterday. The cloud deck was at 2,000 feet, the mountain top is at 2,300 hundred feet. So we drove through the cloud bottoms, which in some places they call fog. This is very October weather.
