Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

It is pretty amazing to think what the Pilgrims embarked on.   In our day of easy travel I can not fathom getting on a very small boat to travel across a very large ocean, knowing you would never see home and friends and family again. Plus the thought of not having any idea of what you are about what lies ahead of you.    I thank God for giving these men and women of vision, and I am thankful for their faithfullness.    Even in our uncertain times we still have many things to be thankful for.  God has given us many blessing....many seen, but more that are unseen.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

We are a little ahead of the rest of the country, but we "did" Thanksgiving today. My brother and family came up so we decided to our feast now. At first it seemed a little weird getting ready so early. I even had to do some store hunting to find some specific items. We got our turkey from a local farmer, so it had to be readied for us on Thursday. The Girlchild named him "Bill"... so Bill gobbled on Thursday and was gobbled up on Saturday!!!! We watched a Christmas movie and did all of the usual Thanksgiving stuff...including the Penn State football game. I said the only thing that was off was the fact we didn't get any "Happy Thanksgiving" phone calls!!! By the end of the day we said it felt like Thanksgiving. Now my brain will be off schedule as I am going to think tomorrow is Friday!!!!
