Lilacs in January

It was bitter cold this morning.... a big whopping Zero degree.  The sun was out,we had blue skies, but yet we had had snow in the air...I have no idea where it was coming from!!!!    The intense cold and the flurries made for beautiful bushes, as the flakes just stuck lightly, as if they were placed by God's hand with a pair of tweezers!

This is our lilac bush, the pictures speak for themself.







For the record, what you are seeing here is not really snowflakes, but hoarfrost.  A phenomenon that occurs with extreme cold temperatures.
